Serving fourth through sixth grades, our Upper School curriculum challenges students to deepen their critical thinking, leadership, and academic skills. The capstone sixth-grade year culminates in meaningful projects and experiences that prepare students to transition confidently to their next educational journey.

At SJEDS our enrichment programs including Physical Education, Music, Art, the Tech Hub and Library, Kingdom Theatre, and Spanish nurture the whole child by encouraging creativity, movement, and exploration. These resources complement our core curriculum and help students build confidence, curiosity, and skills that last a lifetime.

Drama classes begin in fourth grade through our Kingdom Theatre program, where students explore storytelling, character, and imagination to build confidence and life skills. Our Drama and Mini Drama Clubs offer opportunities for all ages to perform, collaborate, and grow creatively, culminating in memorable musical productions that celebrate their talents.

The Bear’s Den is SJEDS’s dedicated academic support program for students with diagnosed learning differences, providing individualized strategies and accommodations within our rigorous curriculum. Guided by our Learning Specialist, students receive personalized instruction and collaborative support to empower their success and confidence.
