Mr. Ted Pina

Ted Pina is in his third year of his second term on the Board of Trustees for SJEDS, having previously served as President of the Board of Trustees.  His is a member of San Jose Episcopal Church and has served on the Vestry and as the chair of the Rector Search Committee.  Mr. Pina is an attorney and serves as Chancellor for both the church and Day School.  He is married to his high school sweetheart, Molly Pina, who has served as the school counselor at SJEDS and is the father of three boys, Matthew (SJEDS Class of ‘08), Joshua (6th grade), and Kevin (4th grade) and a beautiful two year old girl, Allison.  Ted graduated from Episcopal High School in Jacksonville and received his undergraduate degree from Sewanee, The University of the South in Tennessee.  He graduated from law school at the University of Florida and has practiced law in Jacksonville since 1996.  He is currently a partner at the firm of Terrell Hogan.

Mr. Chris Himebauch

2011-2012 will be Chris’ third year as a board member.  Chris and his wife Catherine have two children, Michael, an SJEDS graduate and Sara, in 6th grade at SJEDS.  He and his family moved to Jacksonville in 2008 after living in the Orlando area for almost 15 years.  Chris has always been an active member of his community, serving on several boards including the Roper YMCA (Windermere), the Juvenile Diabetes Association, Orlando chapter and as a Commissioner for the National Accreditation for College Hospitality Management Programs.
Chris works for Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. as the Director of Field Human Resources, overseeing the human resources responsibilities for 521 stores and 6 Distribution Centers throughout the Southeast.  Prior to working at Winn-Dixie, Chris has worked as a Human Resources executive for over 15 years for Wyndham Worldwide and Darden Restaurants in Orlando.
Chris spent his high school and college years in Chapel Hill, NC where he received a BS in Education from the University of North Carolina, followed by an MBA from the University of Southern California.
In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, golf, fishing, and Florida football.

Mrs. Jackie Hayes

This is Jackie’s first term on the board.  She is from Norfolk, Virginia and has lived in numerous states and countries.  Jackie graduated from FSU and has done post graduate work at JU and UNF.  She is a member of San Jose Episcopal church and taught at SJEDS for 32 years.  Her daughter graduated from SJEDS in 1983.  Jackie and her husband, Norm, are both retired and enjoy traveling.

Mrs. Pamela Wehde

Pamela Wehde begins her second year of service on the Board of Trustees with the 2011-2012 school year.  She is a native of Jacksonville.  Pamela attended the University of Alabama Birmingham where she received a BS degree in Medical Technology.  After college, she returned to Jacksonville to be closer to her family.  She is especially proud of her 10 years of work with the Jacksonville Transplant Center and the Jacksonville Marrow Donor Program.  Pamela and her husband Chuck have one son Bryce, who is a 6th grader.  They joined the SJEDS family in 2005 when Bryce started as a Kindergartner.  She has supported the Parent’s Association in a number of ways from decorating for the Sock Hop, checking eyes with Vision Screening and organizing chariot races for Art Day.  In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis, the beach and family time (including their goldendoodle “Champ)!

Mr. Tom Paul

Tom is beginning his second term on the Board of Trustees, having previously served as Treasurer and Chair (President) during a term that ended in 2007.  He is a member of San Jose Episcopal Church and has served as Treasurer on the Vestry.  He also serves on the audit committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Florida.  Tom and his wife Katherine have two children, Ashley, a 2010 SJEDS graduate, and Dylan, a sixth grader at SJEDS.  Both Tom and Katherine were born and raised in Miami and moved to Jacksonville after graduating from the University of Florida.

Mrs. Tracy Libby 

Tracy Libby is serving her third year on the Board of Trustees for SJEDS. For the 2011-2012 school year, she will be serving as the Chair for the Advancement Committee.
Tracy and her husband, Russ have 4 children, Russell, a SJEDS graduate, Patrick, in 5th grade, Joe, in 3rd grade and Katherine, a future SJEDS student. She has been very involved at SJEDS for 8 years, serving on the PA Executive Board, chairing the Sock Hop, Parent to Parent Committee and the Annual Golf and Tennis Classic, serving as homeroom parent many times and is a active daily volunteer.
Tracy was raised in Jacksonville and attended Wolfson High School and graduated form the University of Florida. She and Russ own Hidden Hills Country Club, where she helped start up the Membership and Catering Departments. Now, she enjoys playing tennis, volunteering in the community and managing the Libby Family’s many daily activities.

Mrs. Dana Baldwin 

This will be Dana’s first term as a member of the Board of Trustees. She and her husband, Scott, have 3 children, Brooke, in 4th grade, Blair, in 1st grade and Hunter, a future SJEDS student. Dana was born and raised in St. Augustine and has lived in Jacksonville for 14 years. She studied Business Management at the University of North Florida and has served two years on the SJEDS PA Board as Historian and Secretary. Spending time with her family, volunteering and traveling are a few of her favorite things.

Mr. Mike Pickering 

Mike Pickering started serving on the Board of Trustees in 2011. He is married to Terry Pickering, who taught for seven years at SJEDS. Their two daughters have attended SJEDS since pre-K. Caroline is entering the third grade, and Julia graduated in 2011.
Mike works locally as an analyst for Lender Processing Services. He has worked in the Information Technology (IT) field for 16 years, developing applications and defining application deployment architectures. Mike has a BM in Music Theory and Composition from Jacksonville University, and an MS in Computing and Information Sciences from the University of North Florida. He has served on the SJEDS technology committee since 2006.
Mike attends San Jose Episcopal Church, where he is active in the choir.

Mrs. Gwen Gallagher

Gwen Gallagher is new to the SJEDS Board of Trustees as of the 2011-2012 school year. She is originally from Savannah, Georgia, and moved to Jacksonville in 1988. Gwen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, and worked as an analytical chemist, a flavor and fragrance chemist, and as the business manager for her family owned specialty chemical manufacturing company. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Southside United Methodist Church. She and her late husband, Scott, shared five children, four of whom are graduates of SJEDS. During her time as a parent at the school, Gwen served on many PA committees and as PA President. She continues to judge the school science fair.

Mr. Will Haeberle

Will Haeberle is a first time member of the Board of Trustees.  He is a native of Kentucky and moved to Jacksonville in 2006.  He is self-employed as a Certified Public Accountant after working several years in the corporate world. He is a member of San Jose Episcopal Church.  Will and his wife are new parents to daughter Grace Wells who was born in August.  In his spare time, Will enjoys watching Kentucky basketball, Bengals football, and Reds baseball despite the fact that none of the teams has won a championship in the last several years, however, he never gives up hope.

Mrs. Erica Kirk

2011-2012 is Erica’s 1st year on the board. She grew up in Jacksonville and received her BA in Psychology from UNF. After college, Erica worked with two different non-profit charities providing housing for homeless, low-income elderly and disabled families as well as grant writing. After marrying her husband Kevin, they lived in Japan for 3 years where she was an Academic Advisor for the University of Maryland, Asian Division. They have three sons; Jackson who is in 4th grade, Colin who is in 1st grade and 4 year old Bennett. In her free time, she enjoys tennis and traveling with her family.

Christine Wentzel

Christine Wentzel, and husband Tim, have lived in Jacksonville since 1989. Their son Noah is going into 8th grade at Episcopal High School and Luke is going to be a 5th grader at SJEDS. They have been a part of the SJEDS family since 2007 and have enjoyed helping with Art Day, Spring Fling, Vision Screening, Hospitality and any other activity that needs an extra set of hands. Professionally, Christine works with the St. Johns River Water Management District. She enjoys running, hiking, reading and crossword puzzles.
