Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten

Pre-K3 and Pre-K4

In Pre-kindergarten young children develop socially, emotionally, physically, creatively, and intellectually. The classroom environment allows them to investigate their world while learning skills in language arts, math, social studies, and science. Students participate in music, Spanish, library and physical education resources. Religious education and character education are interwoven throughout the day with songs and prayers, as is technology.

Kindergarten

Young children are naturally curious and eager to investigate their environment. Our goal is to provide a stimulating, positive, and secure environment in which the children’s natural enthusiasm for solving problems, gaining new insights and refining concepts will be fostered. Our overall program, especially small group centers, encourages children to think and work independently and engage in tasks that motivate as well as challenge.

Within the curriculum the children engage in direct experiences with opportunities to review, reflect, and discuss what they’ve learned. The content areas of language arts, math, science, social studies, music, and art are incorporated into whole group and center activities. Students also participate in music, Spanish, library and physical education resources.

A.S.A. P. (Always say a prayer): The cornerstone of our program is built on Christian values. Morning Prayer and the pledge begin each day. A blessing always precedes lunch time and special celebrations. Class rules promote kindness and respect and are posted in the classroom and referred to often. Our weekly chapel service teaches the children the power of God’s love through lessons, songs, and scripture.
